HEATON & DISTRICT LOCAL HISTORY GROUP

The Heaton & District meet on the first Monday of every month, in the Vestry of St. Barnabas Church from 2.00pm until 4.00pm.  The yearly subscription is £5 and £1 per session to include refreshments.  The Group was set up almost four years ago.  The aim is to collate information, photographs and record memories of yesteryear of the surrounding area, to include Frizinghall, Manningham, Sandy Lane and Heaton.

The Group published a booklet in 2004, “Memories of Lister Park” which is available at the price of £5.  This is a record of memories, history of the Park and the Cunliffe Lister Family.   Mrs. Susan Cunliffe Lister is our President.
